This April, I am proud to be taking part in the MATES Big Lap 2026 raising awareness and funds for suicide prevention in the construction industry.
Working in the construction industry, I have seen firsthand how many people quietly struggle with their mental health. It is an industry that is incredibly strong and resilient, but one that has not always made space for conversations around feelings and emotions.

MATES in Construction is doing incredible work to change this. Through training, support, and creating a culture where it is okay to speak up, they are helping save lives every single day.
The Big Lap is about getting active, starting conversations, and showing that we are stronger together. Every step, ride, or kilometre logged is a reminder that mental health matters on site and beyond.
