This April, I’m taking on the MATES Big Lap 2026—running, walking, swimming, and cycling my way through the challenge all April. It’s not just about pushing myself physically, but about taking a stand for suicide prevention in our industry.

Every step, every lap, and every drop of sweat is about raising awareness and making sure no one struggles in silence. Every dollar raised helps MATES continue their life-saving work, supporting workers and their families across all worksites and industries.

I’ll be sharing updates throughout the month—every bit of support counts. Let’s run, walk, swim, and ride together for a stronger, safer industry.

Walk for mates

Walking is one of the easiest forms of exercise but for some it can be extremely hard to just start ... injuries & obesity are probably the number one reason to not be able to walk for exercise... but did you know that depression is another reason to not want to walk ... the body knows its good for you but the depressed brain has other plans ... it will tell you all the reasons why it's hard ... so when you have a loved one who just doesn't want to go for a walk and this continues on for days and then into weeks seek help .... too many lose their lives to that brain bully 😪... let's kick that brain bully and make walking a part of everyday life not just every now and then.
