I'm fundraising for...

This April, I’m taking part in MATES Big Lap 2026, moving my way through the month of April to support suicide prevention in the construction industry.

While I’m currently in active treatment for breast cancer, being involved still means a lot to me. This year the goal looks a little different: I’m aiming to walk a total of 20km across April (an average of just under 1km per day) to help raise funds and awareness for mental health in the construction industry.

It’s not as big as last year’s effort, where I ran 300 km during MATES Big Lap 2025, but the message behind it hasn’t changed. Mental health matters. Looking out for our mates matters. And making sure no one struggles in silence matters.

Every step I take this April is about standing alongside my brothers and sisters in the construction industry and supporting the life-saving work MATES does for workers and their families across all sites and sectors.

I’ll be sharing updates throughout the month, and any support—whether that’s a donation, a message, or simply helping spread the word—means more than you know.

Let’s keep showing up for each other and building a stronger, safer industry together.
