LNP have decided they want to take away 1.6Million of funding for mates in construction! This would cripple our industry astronomically, The support Mates in Construction offer is second to none and I have used this service for over 40+ people in the past year, The difference this fund makes in our lives on and off the job site is worth every cent, a cause I’m 10293% behind! Suicide is not inevitable for anyone, by starting the conversation, providing support and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent suicide and save lives with the help of Mates. I have completed both the assist and connector courses through Mates and can confidently say I have been able to make an impact on the job site due to education and Training provided through this amazing cause. This life, this night, your story, your pain, your hope, it matters! All of it matters, your life matters. This April, we taking on the MATES Big Lap 2025—running, walking, swimming, and cycling our way through the challenge all April. It’s not just about pushing ourselves physically, but about taking a stand for suicide prevention in our industry.
Every step, every lap, and every drop of sweat is about raising awareness and making sure no one struggles in silence. Every dollar raised helps MATES continue their life-saving work, supporting workers and their families across all worksites and industries.
